Bengaluru: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has promised that the problem of drinking water will be solved by the month of May. He made this announcement during the Janaspandana program, which is aimed at bringing “government to the doorstep” Today in RR Nagar, Yeshavantpur assembly constituency.

Despite the onset of summer, the city is already facing water scarcity, with many areas experiencing challenges in accessing drinking water. Shivakumar assured that measures are being taken to address this concern, stating, "I have allocated 6 TMC Cauvery water for the city to alleviate the situation."

Highlighting the development initiatives undertaken by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Shivakumar emphasized the need to tackle traffic issues, particularly near the Taj Hotel area in Yeshwantpur. Plans for potential solutions such as tunnels or flyovers are being explored to alleviate congestion. He reiterated the government's commitment to improving infrastructure and branding the city positively.

Additionally, Shivakumar mentioned a new project introduced by Karnataka's Energy Minister, K. J. George, which aims to provide roofs for houses with subsidies for solar installations. He Highlighted the government's focus on practical solutions to improve people's lives rather than engaging in political rhetoric.

The event was attended by D. K. Suresh, Member of the Lok Sabha, and S. T. Somashekhar, Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly.
