Bengaluru: The Karnataka School Education and Evaluation Board (KSEAB) has reversed its decision to deploy primary school teachers for SSLC examination duty. In a newly issued order on Wednesday, the board instructed deputy directors of all districts to train and assign high school teachers for SSLC examination duties instead.
This decision follows a petition submitted by various MLAs, including Puttanna and Maritibbe Gowda, as well as input from the teaching community. The revised order aims to prevent mismanagement and ensure the appropriate allocation of duties during the examination process.
Under the new directive, high school teachers will serve as room invigilators at examination centers outside their assigned clusters. Additionally, the board Highlighted the importance of avoiding subject teachers' involvement in examinations on the same subject's day.
