Extra KSRTC buses from Bengaluru to Kerala are scheduled between September 2 and 4; return services from Kerala on September 7. Online booking and festive discounts available
Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced special transport arrangements for passengers travelling during the Tiru Onam festival on September 5, 2025. To manage the festive rush, KSRTC will operate 90 additional buses from September 2 to 4 from Bengaluru to various destinations in Kerala.
The return services will be operated from different towns and cities across Kerala to Bengaluru on September 7, 2025.
Special Routes and Boarding Points

Special buses will run exclusively from Mysuru Road Bus Station and Shanthinagar Bus Station (BMTC) in Bengaluru.

Destinations include Kannur, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Thrissur, Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram, and other Kerala cities.

All premier special buses will depart from Shanthinagar Bus Station.
Advance Ticket Booking and Discounts
KSRTC has opened advanced computerised reservation facilities for the Onam special buses. Passengers are advised to carefully check their boarding point mentioned on the reservation ticket.
Tickets can be booked through the official KSRTC website www.ksrtc.karnataka.gov.in and at KSRTC booking counters located in key cities across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Puducherry, Maharashtra, and Goa.
Passengers can also avail special festive discounts:

5% discount for group bookings of four or more passengers in a single ticket.

10% discount on return tickets if onward and return journeys are booked together.
KSRTC Urges Passengers to Plan Early
Officials stated that details of departure timings and routes are available on KSRTC’s computerised reservation network and the official website.
